last time i checked All mammals need to survive their skin. It is a vital organ that keeps us hydrated. stop the unnecessary loss of fluids and prevent infection. that protects against UV rays of the sun (melanin is in their cells and refracts the rays more harmful). So if a sheep's skin, but manages to survive to the process of barbarity, then will ultimately die either from a bacterial infection or something more.
